CANON PUNCTURE RULE
For those of you who have no idea what "canon puncturing" is, it's when your fictional character runs up to another fictional character and goes "HOLY $&#*, YOU'RE FROM MY FAVORITE GAME/MOVIE/BOOK/TV SHOW!" Most of the characters don't realize they're fictional, and the player may not want their character to know that they're fictional.
So, the rule is fairly simple: ASK BEFORE YOU CANON PUNCTURE SOMEONE. If the player says "No," you're free to still have your character fanboy or be excited, just have them keep the part about knowing someone else is fictional to themselves.
That is all.
